SPRING STARTER PACK

Sunshine days are here… well almost… and nothing screams sunshine then Yellow! in no particular shade (really) just all shades sunshine yellow. The year after year Spring colour Must have.

It is funny when I see ‘Yellow is 2017 Spring must have’ Err… well Yellow was Spring 2016 must have, is this Springs’ must have and will most certainly be Spring 2018 must have…get my point?! Yellow truly is the colour for every single Spring..
so feel free to go right ahead and invest in some killer yellow pieces because you will get your moneys worth 🙂 Like we need any more reason to splurge.. right?

I admit that I tend to always buy yellow every Spring to add to what i already have.
I try to make a point of buying at least one ‘wow factor’ yellow dress… though admitedily the colour yellow helps make most dresses scream ‘wow’ I have brought or have made a ‘wow factor’ yellow something every year for as long as I can remember. Yellow works well with my skin tone and was originally my favourite colour as a youngster.. but shhh don’t tell that to red!:)

Ok on to todays post and my FIRST ‘WoW’ yellow dress for spring 2017 (it IS likely more will soon follow;) A very low invested dress from Asos.. backless, plunging neckline, criss cross side detailed, long pleated dress, with 2 slips for good measure. For such a dress one would expect to pay a good amount for it, but I did say it was a very low investment, but what I should really say is that it was an absolute crazy bargain.. a £12 bargain to be exact.. with a fit that is pretty O K, (ok its not perfect but you can’t have it all for 12 quid common haha)

Now I am a UK8 pretty much everywhere and as this is a ‘petite’ dress so i ordered a UK size 10, it was way too big, I then tried the UK8, still too big. I ended up with the Size 6, the smallest size they had at the time, which is still a tad loose but for £12 I thought ‘ah what the heck I’m keeping ya!’ 🙂 and I’m glad i did, its such a fun dress that gave me an instant happy feeling without feeling too exposed even though its quite revealing being backless and uh-hum frontless. #DontTellMyDaughter

As you see I opted to also go all yellow with the peep toe court shoes. Teamed up with the wooden bag I lusted for for so long , and my oh so fabulous (dangerously solid) boater hat I got from Sweden.. and that my loves completes my first official Spring look for the blog.. I hope you like it as much a i clearly do 🙂
