HOW TO STYLE BRIGHT COLOURS

BRIGHT-COL-BLOG

Because blending in is sooo overrated...

Why is it that, when we shop, our cart seems to almost always amount to a bland concoction of 50 shades of neutral?

Is it convenience? Practicality? Laziness to search for anything else?

Yes, all these reasons account for it, however, there is one reason that trumps all of the above.

Fear.

Plenty of women swear off anything bright just because they are concerned whether they can pull it off. Yet the recipe for pulling it off is more than simple – just put it on and rock it!

Counting multiple pairs of black trousers, grey sweaters, black cardigans, etc. will do nothing for you but eventually evolve your day to day style into a drab merry-go-round.

Well, ladies, it’s time to get off!

Explore the wonderful world of bright shades that will not only compliment your beauty, but brighten up your mood and attract good vibes with it as well.

Make it pop with details

Incorporating bright tones into your style doesn’t have to entitle an entire wardrobe overhaul. Start with a detail. Shoes, bags, jewelry or a pop of colour on the outfit – if you are colour shy this is the perfect way to break the ice without feeling overpowered or insecure about what you’re wearing. At the end of the day, no outfit, regardless of how well put together it is, can look good if you are not giving it the love.

Match one bright coloured item with neutrals

This is the perfect formula for marrying the bold item with your neutrals. It still kind of plays on the safe side but doesn’t lack the standout quality as the neutrals will support the role of backup, allowing the bright item to shine. If you are a stickler for harmony and a constant chaser of balance in fashion as in life, this combination has your name written all over it.

 Bright, bold, badass

One way to face the fear of wearing a bright colour is to moderately introduce it into your wardrobe. Another way is to go to town with it – head to toe. If you are one of those people who choose to face challenges head on, chances are you are tempted by the idea of going full monochrome for the day. And why shouldn’t you? Life is short and being a responsible adult, a mother, wife, employee is never a walk in a park. Fashion can be an amazing way to have fun, your creative outlet and something personal and unique to you. All-over bright outfits are just that. If you are concerned it might be to “out there” to intertwine with your daily routine, just opt for smarter and cleaner cut. That’s all, now go and wow!

Bold or bland, neutrals or neon – the most important thing is you wear it with confidence. Do you have a favourite bright colour to wear or you still hide from the brights?

As always the comment section is hungry for your answers!
