Well, that’s it for September. For a month that lasted about five minutes it sure had a lot of happenings- at least in the fashion industry.
The wrap on the major fashion weeks has left us with a colourful imagery of what the foreseeable future in fashion will look like. Inspired by some of the hottest looks from the runway, new arrivals at The Kemist represent a perfect balance for paying an homage to trends without compromising individual style.
K STAR/LEVEL UP IN BROWN
How happy are you to see some of your fave Kemist staples get a reboot?
We couldn’t think of anything sweeter than being decked out in chocolate hues. This outfit has an added style bonus of warm browns mellowing down accentuated structures of the garments, especially the K STAR shirt. As for the trend element of the outfit, we are delighted to announce the poof sleeve is still going strong, as evident by Richard Malone’s bold number from LFW.
AUTUMN AWE PRINTED DRESS
Bringing warmth to your wardrobe doesn’t necessarily have to include brown hues. Spark up your street style presence with a vibrant burnt orange hued dress with animal print-inspired pattern. The fashion gods are particularly fond of such choice this season – as bold looks and colors are all the rage. Just see Escada’s runway look from NYWF.
CHARLESTON CARDIGAN/MISS MODE TURTLENECK/ CLASS ACT CROPPED PANTS
Following the earthy, natural colour trail we are finishing this round up with some cooler, dustier shades of brown. This look is all about softening up polished turtleneck and chino style pant combination with a cozy long cardigan – a perfect alternative to a jacket or a coat. The main inspiration behind it would definitely be Dior on PFW, championing femininity through soft lines and hues of outerwear.
ISLA LARGE WOODEN BAG
A special treat of the week is the arrival of this treasure among accessories. We don’t sell bags often but when we do we truly try to offer something different and unusual. Pairing your outfit with a wooden chest bag is definitely taking your outfit to the next level.
How are you feeling about the new arrivals? Yay or nay? I do want to hear about it so don’t be shy – leave a comment, let me know!
